I have created the blog that I had in mind for months. It's called "After you wake up" and it's my practical philosophy blog.
It's here [After you wake up].
For the moment, I'm using a ready Wordpress template and the free Wordpress.com service, but that may change in the future.
Come, read and comment. :)

What I use everyday @ internet.
Internet is quite big. And the characteristic of Web2.0 is copying the same ideas over and over. At the moment, there are thousands of startup that wanna-be the new digg or the new last.fm. They won't. That's because they compete with hundreds more that copy the copiers. :( It's so boring to see 100 different video hosting sites. I think that YouTube is enough. The same goes with blog hosts and with search engines.
Anyway, lately I find myself in a stable internet behavior. That means that I have decided which services/tools I will use every time that I log in.
1. Gmail
It's just so good that you won't ever need any other email service. Fully equiped with every mail function, you are going to wonder if it is legal to use it freely.
2. YouTube
It's one of the miracles of the internet. You can find anything you want in video and/or audio. More videos that anyone can see in 100000... lifes.
3. Wikipedia
Another one of the miracles of the internet. Too much information for a single weird person to handle. Not to mention the 100 hyperlinks in every page, that turn you to 100 other each one. I'm spending a lot of time in Wikipedia, with subjects ranging from info on L'Arc~en~Ciel (japanese band) to Molecular Physics. Sick!
4. Digg
There are so many interesting things coming out everyday on the internet that it's too difficult for a single person to track them all. That's why I need the community of digg. It's so fun!
5. DeviantArt
Ok. I use it because I like making things and showing them off.
6. MySpace
I should probably not use this piece of shit, but I log in every day, for no apparent reason. They should shut down this addicting piece of drug.
7. Google
Come on? Who doesn't use Google?
8. Blogs(Engadget, Gizmodo, Slashdot, Lifehacker and some more...)
My daily crack. Blogs. Read useless stuff... Lose time... Yeah! There's nothing better than this feeling! :D
9. Rapidshare
I'm on a downloading spree! And rapidshare gives me download rates of 1500Kbs/sec!
10. IsoHunt/Mininova
When I can't find something on Rapidshare, then comes Bittorrent. And I hate Pirate Bay for some reason.
11. Firefox
Ok... It's not a web service, but it's the browser that I can't live without. Sometimes my friends ask me "There must be something wrong with my computer/internet. What is wrong Alex?". The first thing that I ask them is "Do you use Internet Explorer?"... :)

[Music] Kiss - L'Arc~en~ciel

L'Arc~en~Ciel is definitely my favorite band. Their style (for those who don't know) can be described as alternative rock with pop and jrock flavors. Since 1991, they have produced 11 albums, with each one of them being unique and (most of the times) amazing.
2 years after the release of AWAKE, L'Arc~en~Ciel return with KISS. Now, let's not waste time and review each one of the songs.
*I will only judge their music and vocals... I can't say anything about the lyrics since I don't know japanese.
1. Seventh Heaven
An upbeat and poppy song that kept me listening to it even when it was released as a single. Nice song with positive character. The videoclip is also very colorful.
2. Pretty Girl
Probably the hit of the album. This amazing jrock piece by Ken combines all of the best elements from Laruku. A ken-ish intro and then come the double Hyde-Ken vocals over the great j melody. You can't stop listening to it.
3. My heart draws a dream
A slow paced song. Here you can hear Hyde using all of his singing abilities. It's generally very good with a nice soft feeling to its melody.
4. Sunadokei
This song reminds me much of their earlier works. Slow at the beginning but ending with some more heat, a general example of Laruku's style. It's very good, but not one of the best of the album.
5. Spiral
The thing that stands out here is Yukihiro's drumming. A song that doesn't stand out while not being bad.
6. Alone en la Vida
Probably the most sentimental song of the album. Amazing L'Arc~en~Ciel song! It has a calming effect and Hyde supports it with his great theatrical voice.
7. Daybreak's Bell
The song that is used as an opening to Gundam 00. Some Spanish guitar moments that remind me of Dune. No, maybe the whole song is just like from Dune, but with more orchestration. I like it.
8. Umibe
L'Arc~en~Ciel always have a heart-breaker in their albums. Umibe is the one in Kiss. More than I can handle it. Anyway, it's a great emotional piece.
9. The black rose
Hey, here come their greatness! Remember AS ONE from AWAKE? It was the most heavy and dark song of their album. The black rose is something like this. An AMAZING!!! song with some guitar hardness (for laruku ;) ). Especially the refrain that starts in a tone lower that you would have expected, creates an amazing feeling. It's one of the three best songs of this album.
10. Link ~KISS mix~
This one is Link. An early released single. It's VEEERRRYYY L'arc~en~ciel and in the style of "The fourth avenue cafe". Cheerful etc. I like it.
11. Yuki no ashiato
Slow and too much emotional. Don't like it. ;p
12. Hurry Xmas
Just the greatest christmas song that I know. The soundtrack of this year's xmas! ;P I like it very much!!
The verdict: Just what I have been waiting for. Another amazing album. I believe now that they can't make anything bad! ;p
Really, it's one step ahead AWAKE. Must download!
